Job Title:              Blinds Surveyor & Installer

Contract:              Permanent (with three-month probation period)

Hours:                   Full Time (flexible hours with some weekend/evening work)

Location:              Operating from Oxfordshire office

Description

An exciting role in a small family company at the forefront of technological advancement in the shading industry, specialising in blinds for difficult shaped areas of glazing, the position would suit a precise and highly organised candidate with an eye for detail who is happy taking full responsibility for the projects and leading the way on pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The role will encompass many aspects of the operational and technical side of the business, and as with any small company, there will be many opportunities to be involved in key decision making. We are ideally looking for a candidate with experience in the shading industry, but would consider anyone with transferable skills and experience of surveying and installing products for buildings who would be happy to receive training in a new field of work.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of surveying and installing blinds

  • High levels of precision and attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills

  • Well-developed spatial awareness and good hand drawing ability

  • Good knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools

  • Experience working on building sites

  • Experience working both in a small team, and working remotely and independently

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service

  • Good timekeeping ability

  • Willingness to travel nationwide regularly

  • Full clean driving licence & clean claims record

Desirable:

  • Electrical knowledge

  • Experience with CAD software

  • Good maths & physics qualifications and good written English

  • Sales experience

  • CSCS card, Working at Height trained, Asbestos awareness trained

Remuneration

Salary:                £30,000 - £36,000 p.a.
