Venetian
Venetian blinds are made with polyester ladder braids hanging from a powder-coated metal headrail on which are hung slim, coated aluminium, horizontal slats that are rotated from level to nearly-vertical in order to close the blind. We specify only the best quality 210 micron slats. A slim bottom rail hangs at the base of the blind. The slat lengths can be graduated to form the triangular shape of a gable window and the rotation can be manual (by a tilt rod) or electric (by battery power or mains). Wooden Venetians are also available, with the slats and bottom rail made of timber and varnished, stained or painted. Another variation to a traditional Venetian blind is a tilting louvre system, where the slats are held on rotating arms and therefore can span large spaces in any direction or shape.
